Transaction Id (TxID) is a unique identifier for each blockchain transaction. It is composed of a string of alphanumeric characters.
TxID is also known as transaction hash (Tx Hash).
With TxID/ Tx Hash, one can view transaction details, such as status, timestamp, transaction fee, gas price, and block confirmations on the blockchain explorer.
To find the transaction Id (TxID) in MetaMask, you need to go to the “Activity” tab and click on the particular recent transfer entry.

Steps to Find Transaction Id (TxID) in MetaMask
1. Go to “Activity”
The “Activity” tab in the MetaMask Wallet extension is a section that contains recent activities, such as recent deposits and withdrawals.
These recent deposit and withdrawal entries in MetaMask hold the transaction Id.
Open the MetaMask Wallet extension and enter the password to unlock it.
Now, you will land on the dashboard.
On the dashboard, you can find the “Activity” tab in the bottom right corner.
Click on it.
2. Click on Any Recent Transfers
On the Activity tab, you can see your recent deposits and withdrawals.
Click on the transfer for which you want to see the transaction Id (TxID).
3. Copy Transaction Id (TxID)
After clicking the recent transfer entry, you will be able to see the transaction details for that particular transaction.
From this page, you can copy the transaction Id.
To do so, click the “Copy Transaction ID” option located at the top right corner of the MetaMask wallet.
4. View on Block Explorer
If you want to see more transaction details, you need to go to blockchain explorer.
To do so, click “View on block explorer” on the same page that you have copied the TxID.
By clicking “View on block explorer”, you will land on the relevant blockchain explorer.
There you can see the advanced details that include gas limit and usage and Burnt & Txn Savings Fees.
Steps to Find Transaction Id (TxID) in MetaMask Application
1. Tap on “Assets”
Open the MetaMask mobile application.
Tap on any crypto asset under the “Tokens” tab.
2. Tap on “Recent Transfers”
After tapping on a particular asset, you will be able to see the recent transfer entries.
Tap on the entry for which you want to see the TxID.
3. Tap on “View on Etherscan”
By tapping on the particular recent transfer entry, you will land on the “Sent ETH”.
Here, you can see the transfer details.
Tap on “View on Etherscan”.
4. Copy TxID
Tapping on the “View on Etherscan” will take you to the Etherscan.
Here, you can copy the transaction Id/ transaction hash.
