Sundar Pichai announced Bard, a conversational AI answer to OpenAI ChatGPT. Google has been a pioneer in AI and it was one of the first companies to publish AI Principles.
Bard is powered by next-generation language with conversation capabilities powered by a language model (LaMDA).
We are expecting that Google Bard would be available by the third week of February and by the next month they will open up their API to the developers. Currently, it is only available to trusted teasers ahead of making it more widely available.

They are planning to release a lightweight model version of LaMDA which requires significantly less computing power and helps them reach more users and look for more feedback to further improve the product.
How will Bard be different from ChatGPT?
- Google has a large amount of personal data than any other company in the world, so I personally speculate that Bart’s response would be much more personalized than ChatGPT.
- Unlike ChatGPT, I hope that result is up-to-date information.
- Google has billion of daily active users and a wider distribution network than ChatGPT. Their result would be available at the top of the search result. In case there is no need for extra information.

When can Developer access Bard API?
Google is planning to make it easy, safe, and scalable for developers to build on top of their best models. By the next month of march, they will start onboarding individual developers, creators, and enterprises.
