Did you forget your Ronin Wallet password?
Worry not. Resetting or changing the Ronin wallet password is always possible unless and until you lose your Secret Recovery Phrase.
To reset your Ronin wallet password, you need to uninstall and reinstall the Ronin wallet extension.
Then, by using the 12-word recovery phrase you can set a new password.
Uninstalling and reinstalling the extension will not affect your SLP or other assets.
Alternatively, you can install a Ronin wallet on the other browser or as an application. I have been using the Ronin wallet on two different browsers with two different passwords.
Steps to Reset Ronin Wallet Password
1. Uninstall and Reinstall the Ronin Wallet
First, uninstall your Ronin wallet extension.
To uninstall from Chrome, you need to click on the puzzle icon located on the top right corner of the browser window.
Then, navigate to Ronin Wallet and click on the three dots.
Now, click on Remove from Chrome.
To uninstall from Firefox, you can see your Ronin extension on the top right corner of your Firefox window.
Right-click on it and click on Remove extension.
After uninstalling the wallet, you need to reinstall it.
To do so, you need to go to https://wallet.roninchain.com/.
Ronin wallet is available as an extension for Chrome, Firefox, and Edge.
It is also available as an application on Android and iOS.
2. Click Import Wallet
After reinstallation, you need to open your extension.
Click on Get Started.
Then, Click on I already have a secret recovery phrase. Import wallet.
3. Set a New Password
Now, you will be able to see 3 fields.
First, you need to type your 12-word Secret Recovery Phrase.
You need to separate each word with a single space.
Before typing the recovery phrase, ensure that nobody is behind or beside you.
Now, you will be able to set a new password. It must be at least 8 characters long.
Click on Import Wallet.
Uninstalling and reinstalling will not affect your SLP or other assets.
That’s it. You have successfully reset your Ronin wallet password.
