Every account in the decentralized wallet has its own private key. A private key is a combination of alphanumerical characters in cryptography that is used to encrypt and decrypt data.
Seed phrases/ secret recovery phrases are used to create and restore the entire wallet (including all accounts created in that wallet). But, private keys are used to import a particular account into a different wallet.
Unlike MetaMask, Kaikas wallet provides access to the private key.
To find the private key in Kaikas wallet, you need to select your account.
Then, click “Manage Wallet Key”.
Enter your current Kaikas wallet password to view the private key.
Lastly, export it or simply copy it.
Steps to Find Private Key in Kaikas Wallet

1. Open the Kaikas Wallet
Launch the Kaikas wallet extension.
Type in the password to unlock it.
2. Click “Manage Wallet Key”
After entering the password, you will land on the Kaikas wallet dashboard.
There you will be able to see the KLAY balance, wallet address, and transaction history.
To find the private key, first, you need to click on your account name.
Now, you could see the QR code along with your wallet address.
At the bottom of the page, there will be a Manage Wallet Key option.
Click on it.
Then, you need to click Export Wallet Key.
3. Type your Password
After clicking on the Export Wallet Key, Kaikas wallet shows the public address again.
Just below that, there will be a password field.
To view the private key of your Kaikas wallet account, you need to type in your current password.
Then, click on Export Wallet Key.
4. Copy or Download Private Key as JSON
Now, you will be on the Export Wallet Key page.
The public address, private key, and Klaytn Wallet Key will be displayed.
To view the private key, you need to click on the eye icon.
To copy it, you need to click the copy icon.
You can also save the keys as Keystore File/ JSON.
After copying or exporting it as Keystore or JSON file, click Confirm.
You have successfully found your Kaikas wallet account’s private key.
