STEPN has two tokens namely Green Satoshi Token (GST) and Green Metaverse Token (GMT).
GST is a utility token whereas GMT is both the utility and governance token.
GST has an unlimited supply cap and GMT has a total supply of 6 billion.
To buy STEPN tokens (GST/GMT), you need to swap SOL on Raydium.
To interact with a Dex like Raydium, you will need a Solana Program Library (SPL) wallet.
In this article, we will be using the Phantom wallet to connect with Raydium.
If you have not installed the Phantom wallet yet, you need to install and create an account first.
Alternatively, you can buy STEPN tokens on PancakeSwap by swapping BNB.
You can also buy STEPN tokens on centralized exchanges such as Binance or Coinbase as well.
Steps to Buy STEPN Tokens (GST/ GMT) on Raydium

1. Buy SOL
If you already have Solana (SOL), you can skip this step.
First, you need to buy Solana (SOL).
You can buy Solana inside the Phantom wallet or you can buy SOL on any centralized exchanges, such as Binance, Coinbase, Crypto.com, or Gemini.
2. Transfer SOL to Phantom Wallet
If you already transferred SOL to Phantom wallet or if you have bought SOL inside Phantom wallet, you can skip this step.
If not, you need to transfer SOL to Phantom wallet.
To transfer SOL from centralized exchanges (CEXs) to Phantom wallet, you need to copy your Phantom wallet address and paste it into any of your CEX account.
Then, enter the amount and complete the verification process.

3. Connect Phantom to Raydium
Having SOL in your Phantom wallet, now you need to connect your Phantom wallet to Raydium.
Tap on the Internet icon on your Phantom mobile application.
Then, type in as Raydium.
On the search engine results page (SERP), tap on the Raydium.
Then, tap on the Launch app.
Next, tap on either the Wallet Icon or Connect Wallet.
Choose Phantom.
You can also use Solflare, Sollet, Torus, or other Solana Program Library (SPL) wallets or multi chain wallets that are supported by Raydium.
Upon choosing Phantom, a pop-up will appear, tap on Connect.
After tapping on Connect, you will get an on-screen connection establishment notification.

4. Swap SOL for GST/ GMT
After establishing the connection, you need to select GST/ GMT in the second field.
To select GST/ GMT in the second field, you need to tap on RAY.
Then, type GST/ GMT in the search box given.
Tap on the GST/ GMT.
A Confirm Token pop-up will appear. Select the check box and tap on I Understand.
Next, type the number of SOL that are going to swap for GST/ GMT in the first field.
As soon as you type in the number of SOL, you will get to see the details, such as swapping through, price impact, slippage tolerance, and swapping fee.
Lastly, you need to tap on Swap.
5. Confirmation
After tapping on Swap, you will get an approval request.
Tap on Approve.
You will get on-screen notifications of confirmation and transactions sent.
6. Check your Phantom Wallet
Now, you need to close the browser and tap on the Dollar symbol to reach the wallet section.
There you will be able to view the GST/ GMT token that you have purchased on Raydium.
Conclusion
You can buy the STEPN tokens (GST or GMT) by swapping SOL in the Raydium, a decentralized exchange (DEX).
Ensure that you are swapping for the right tokens. Always be aware of a fake version of existing tokens.
To buy STEPN tokens on Raydium, there will be a swap fee of 0.214156 USDC (Since swapping through will be SOL->USDC->GMT, the fee is in USDC) is applicable.
