Wrapped Ethereum (WETH), Axie Infinity (AXS), and Smooth Love Potion (SLP) are the tokens that are used by the Play-to-earn game Axie Infinity.
To play Axie Infinity, you need to connect your Ronin Wallet. The Ronin Wallet is also used to hold ERC20 assets, such as WETH, AXS, SLP, and USDC and ECR721 assets, such as Axie, Land Plots, and Land Item.
Ronin Wallet only supports Wrapped (WETH) not native Ethereum (ETH).
Don’t worry. Since we are using Ronin Bridge to transfer ETH from MetaMask to Ronin, you don’t need to manually convert Ethereum (ETH) to Wrapped Ethereum (WETH).
To transfer ETH/ WETH from MetaMask to Ronin Wallet, you need to first connect your MetaMask Wallet to Ronin Bridge.
Then, paste the Ronin Wallet address and enter the amount.
Next, confirm the transaction from your MetaMask wallet.
After a few minutes, you will receive the Wrapped Ethereum (WETH) in the Ronin Wallet.
To transfer ETH/ WETH from MetaMask to Ronin Wallet, a network fee of ~0.00222409 ETH is applicable.
Steps to Transfer ETH/ WETH from MetaMask to Ronin Wallet
- Copy the Ronin Wallet Address
- Connect MetaMask to Ronin Bridge
- Paste the Ronin Address and Select the Asset
- Tap on “Confirm” in MetaMask
- Check Ronin Wallet
1. Copy the Ronin Wallet Address
In case you have not created a Ronin Wallet account, you need to create and set up one.
Open the Ronin wallet extension.
Enter the password to unlock it.
Your wallet address and RON balance will now be visible.
There should also be a “copy icon” next to the wallet address. Simply click on it.
2. Connect MetaMask to Ronin Bridge
To connect MetaMask to Ronin Bridge, you need to visit the Ronin Bridge.
Now, you will be able to see two options: Deposit and Withdraw.
Since you are depositing ETH/ WETH to Ronin Wallet, you need to click “Deposit”.
Upon clicking Deposit, your MetaMask will automatically pop up.
You need to select the account and click “Next”.
Now, you need to allow the Ronin Bridge website to access your MetaMask wallet by clicking on “Connect”. By doing so, Ronin Bridge will see the address, account balance, and activity, and suggest transaction approvals.
That’s it. You have successfully connected your MetaMask to Ronin Bridge.
In case your MetaMask wallet didn’t pop up automatically upon clicking on “Deposit” on the Ronin Bridge website, you need to manually open the MetaMask -> click three dots -> Connected sites -> click “Manually connect to current site”.
3. Paste the Ronin Address and Select the Asset
After establishing the connection between your MetaMask wallet and Ronin Bridge, you need to enter the deposit details.
First, you need to paste the Ronin Wallet address that you copied in Step 1.
Then, select the Asset as “ETH”.
Next, enter the amount in ETH. If you want to transfer all of the ETH that you have in your MetaMask, click MAX.
Lastly, click “Submit”.
4. Tap on “Confirm” in MetaMask
To proceed with this transaction, you need to confirm this transaction from MetaMask.
Upon clicking “Submit”, the MetaMask wallet will pop up.
This pop-up will contain details, such as From and To addresses and gas fees.
Once you have reviewed the details, you need to click “Confirm”.
Now, you need to wait for a few seconds to a few minutes for the Ethereum network to process the transaction.
Once the deposit transaction is Success on the Ethereum network, you can click on “View status on Etherscan” to see the transaction details.

5. Check Ronin Wallet
Now, you need to wait another few seconds to a minute for the validators confirmation on the Ronin blockchain.
Then, open the Ronin Wallet and check the WETH balance.
